Feb. 8
5:25 a.m. in the 500 block of East McGlincy Lane: Two suspects forced entry into several work vans and stole a white 2006 Chevy work van.
7:22 a.m. at Midway Street and Ridgeley Drive: A white Ford F350 was located with its doors and toolbox open. A company representative confirmed the vehicle had been stolen out of San Jose and had not yet been reported.
9:10 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Two suspects were located by staff inside a unit which was supposed to be vacant. Both fled, but one left her ID behind. Syringes and suspected heroin were located inside the rooms.
1:25 p.m. at Sheffield and Leigh avenues: A woman, 36, was located by officers inside a parked blue Mercedes Benz that had been reported stolen to out of San Jose on Jan. 31. A search found she was in possession of someone else’s stolen California ID, as well as manufactured mailbox keys, and she was under the influence of heroin.
Overnight in the 700 block of Sobrato Drive: Someone gained entry into a locked vehicle and damaged the steering column in an apparent attempt to steal it.
2:23 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 36, and the victim, 61, got into an argument. The suspect picked up a wooden stick, threatened to hit the victim, and vandalized the victim’s vehicle.
1200 block of Nadine Drive: The suspect and victim are in disagreement about a debt, and the suspect repeatedly called and texted the victim over the past few months. At times the communication has become threatening.
8 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone took soap from a store.
9:31 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Officers located a Toyota Rav4 reported stolen out of Gilroy. A suspect was contacted outside the car, refused to ID himself and fled on foot. The suspect was able to enter the vehicle and fled by driving over a park strip boulder, causing damage. A second suspect also fled on foot over a fence. The first suspect left behind his cellphone and jacket while fleeing.
11:57 p.m. in the 00 block of Gilman Avenue: A man, 41, was reported as stumbling around the property and acting suspicious. He was found to be too drunk to care for his safety and arrested.
1:06 a.m. at Cadillac Drive and Eden Avenue: A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was found in possession of a meth pipe and cited.
1:13 a.m. at Bascom and Union avenues: A woman, 20, was stopped for vehicle code violations and found to be DUI.
3:50 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Campbell Avenue: Someone smashed the window of a business.
Feb. 9
Overnight in the 300 block of Budd Avenue: Someone wrote on an exterior wall with a black marker.
9:16 a.m. in the 900 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A 33-year-old was found to be under the influence of meth.
3:11 p.m. in the 1300 block of Camden Avenue: A woman, 42, approached a 4-year-old who was in his mother’s arms. The woman yelled that the child was hers and tried to pull him from his mother’s arms. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
8:03 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue.: A man was contacted and was found to be on probation. A search revealed several IDs not belonging to him. He was also under the influence.
Feb. 10
Overnight in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole items.
9:53 a.m. at Sunnyoaks and Winchester: A man, 35, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be DUI on drugs and in violation of his probation. He lives at with a woman, 27, and their two children. The man admitted that the woman uses controlled substances while watching their children. A welfare check conducted on the children revealed meth pipes, uncapped syringes, and methamphetamine and weapons in immediate access to the children. The woman was also under the influence. Meth for sales was also located.
Overnight in the 400 block of North Leigh Avenue: A catalytic converter was stolen from a Prius.
7:04 p.m. in the 100 block of El Caminito Avenue: A man, 45, was stopped after he reportedly stole a bike from an open garage. He was also in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine. He was arrested and the bike was recovered.
8 p.m. at Campbell Avenue and Llewellyn: A man, 43, was stopped for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol, was arrested and booked.
10:17 p.m. at North First Street and Civic Center Drive: A woman, 26, was stopped for a traffic violation. She was found to be under the influence of alcohol, was arrested and booked.
Feb. 11
Overnight in the 1300 block of Dell Avenue: Someone broke into several locked vehicles and stole items.
6:33 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man was causing a disturbance at the business. He was too intoxicated to care for himself, and was in possession of a concealed knife and drug paraphernalia.
7 p.m. at West Hamilton and Marathon avenues: A man was stopped for a traffic violation. He had a concealed knife and was arrested.
9:59 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton: A man was under the influence of a controlled substance, and had drug paraphernalia, burglary tools and misappropriated found property. He admitted he was on probation and was found to have an outstanding warrant.
10:15 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton: A woman was in possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia and was under the influence of a controlled substance.
11:09 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton: A man and a woman were contacted at the business. The man admitted having a warrant and was arrested. The woman admitted she was on probation and was found in possession of methamphetamine.
Feb. 12
6:23 a.m. in the 00 block of La Vonne Drive: A man, 23, was too intoxicated to care for himself and found sleeping in an unlocked vehicle.
Overnight in the 300 block of Union Avenue: A dark blue 2019 Dodge Ram Laramie 1500 Truck was stolen.
3:54 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Two suspect stole items and fled in a white Honda van.
Overnight in White Oaks Court: The rear plate to a black Honda Civic was stolen.
12:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Camden Avenue: A man, 30, and a woman, 28, were contacted after not checking out of their room. The man attempted to flush controlled substances. The pair had scales, packaging, cash, and heroin and meth for sales. The woman had a warrant. Both were under influence.
11 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole a tan purse.
Feb. 13
Overnight in the 300 block of Union Avenue: A 2020 silver Rav4 was stolen.
10:26 a.m. in the 800 block of Virginia Avenue: A woman, 36, was causing a disturbance and was found to be under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of meth.
Overnight in the 500 block of Maple Avenue: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a gym bag containing the vehicle’s spare key.
6:53 a.m. in the 600 block of Birch Drive: Someone was trying door handles to vehicles on the street.
2:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Parkhurst Drive: Two 37-year-olds got into an argument, and the victim fell to the ground, causing visible injury.
6:45 p.m. in the 600 block of East Campbell Avenue: Two victims were walking when someone yelled profanity and challenged them to a fight. When they attempted to walk away, the suspect followed them, continuing to yell and scream. When the suspect approached one victim, they got into a physical altercation with the other victim, then fled southbound on a gray bicycle.
11:11 p.m. at Hwy 17 and East Hamilton Avenue: Officers responded to a report of a male slumped over the steering wheel of a running black Honda Accord stopped at the light. Upon police arrival, a man, 31, and a woman, 21, both appeared to be passed out. When officers attempted to wake the occupants, the man purposely backed into a patrol vehicle and fled the intersection at a high rate of speed, neglecting to obey traffic signals. The Honda ducked into a parking lot in an attempt to avoid officers. Both suspects fled the vehicle on foot. After a perimeter was set, both were taken into custody after a foot pursuit. Officers located several duffle bags of stolen mail, W2’s, mailbox master keys, burglary tools, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The man was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and alcoholic beverage. The woman was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Feb. 14
6:49 a.m. in the 2400 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone smashed the front door of a business to make entry. The suspect was seen, exited the business and fled.
Overnight in the 500 block of Millich Drive: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a backpack from within.
10:56 a.m. at Hamilton Avenue and Darryl Drive: A woman, 28, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
1:01 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A man, 29, known to have an outstanding felony warrant was contacted and was taken into custody pursuant to the warrant. HE was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was under the influence of a controlled substance.
2:58 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 36, got into an argument with the victim, swung an empty vodka bottle at him, then stole the reading glasses off of the victim’s face. The suspect asked the victim for his car keys and cell phone and followed him. The suspect punched the victim in the chest and walked out into the parking lot. The suspect was contacted by police, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol, and was found to be in possession of the victim’s glasses. The suspect was arrested.
8:04 p.m. in the 1000 block of Salerno Drive: A man, 24, called the victim numerous times, demanding to know her location. He then drove to the victim’s residence and blocked the driveway with his pickup, preventing her from leaving. The suspect forced the victim to follow him and ordered her to drive him around or else he would attack her things and break them. He was contacted at the scene and arrested.
8:51 p.m. in the 100 block of San Tomas Aquino Road: A man, 49, grabbed the victim and walked out of the room. Someone confronted the suspect, who grabbed a knife concealed on his person and pointed it at them. He walked outside holding the knife and the victim, who eventually escaped.
8:48 p.m. at Jeffery and Sobrato: Officers located a 1995 Acura with major front end damage reported stolen on Feb. 6.
