Weld County officials reported 407 new COVID-19 cases in the past week, bringing the county’s cumulative case count to 24,824.

The county’s two-week average positive test rate decreased to 5.42%, down from 5.67% a week ago. In the Greeley area, that rate is 5.07%. North Weld County continues to have the highest positive test rate in the county, 6.85%.

There are 69 COVID-19 patients at Weld regional hospitals, down from 82 a week ago. There are 311 hospital beds, 35 ICU beds and 95 ventilators available. A week ago, there were 315 hospital beds, 43 ICU beds and 104 ventilators. The seven-day rolling average percent of beds occupied by COVID-19 patients is 5.9%

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported 24 active COVID-19 outbreaks this week across Weld County:

  1. Hays Market — Johnstown: Two staff cases. Outbreak began Feb. 12.
  2. Varra Companies Inc. — Frederick: Two cases. Outbreak began Feb. 12.
  3. University of Northern Colorado Men’s Basketball Team: Five student cases and one staff case. Outbreak began Feb. 10.
  4. Spradley Barr Ford of Greeley: 18 staff cases. Outbreak began Feb. 9.
  5. Front Range Roofing Systems LLC. — Greeley: Two cases. Outbreak began Feb. 5.
  6. Greeley Central High School: Two student cases and one staff case. Outbreak began Feb. 4.
  7. Windsor High School: Two student cases. Outbreak began Feb. 4.
  8. Elite Diesel Service: Four cases. Outbreak began Feb. 4.
  9. Generations Church: Nine attendee cases and seven staff cases. Outbreak began Feb. 3.
  10. Mr. Rooter — Erie: Five cases. Outbreak began Jan. 29.
  11. University of Northern Colorado Track and Field Team: 12 student cases and one staff case. Outbreak began Jan. 28.
  12. University of Northern Colorado Football Team: 14 student cases and one staff case. Outbreak began Jan. 25.
  13. Camping World of Longmont: Nine staff cases. Outbreak began Jan. 20.
  14. Anheuser-Busch Metal Container Corp. — Windsor: 14 cases. Outbreak began Dec. 26.
  15. King Soopers, 6922 10th St.: 33 staff cases. Outbreak began Dec. 4.
  16. JBS Greeley Beef Plant: 99 staff cases. Outbreak began Nov. 17.
  17. Boulder Scientific Company: 12 staff cases. Outbreak began Nov. 17.
  18. Summit Bodyworks: 14 staff cases. Outbreak began Nov. 10.
  19. Vestas Blades-Brighton: 47 staff cases. Outbreak began Nov. 9.
  20. McLane Western: 80 staff cases. Outbreak began Oct. 30.
  21. JBS Corporate: 63 staff cases. Outbreak began Oct. 19.
  22. Grace Pointe Continuing Care Senior Campus: 41 resident cases and 44 staff cases. Six resident deaths. Outbreak began Sept. 30.
  23. Weld County Jail: 86 inmate cases, 28 staff cases and one inmate death. Outbreak began April 1.
  24. Target — Greeley: 18 staff cases. Outbreak began Nov. 30. No new cases since the week of Jan. 27.

Greeley-Evans School District 6 reported 797 students and 78 adults were quarantined as of Wednesday.

County officials reported seven COVID-19 deaths in the past week, bringing the total number of deaths to 216. The state reported two deaths among people who died with COVID-19 in Weld, for a total of 315.

Weld County remains at the Level Yellow: Concern phase. The county’s two-week cumulative incidence rate is down to 107.5. The county’s two-week average positivity rate has decreased to 4.6%, according to the state. Hospitalizations have declined or remained stable for 11 days.

The state reports 723,942 people have received their first doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 321,826 people have received their second doses.
