REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2021-06300030, 1300 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 4:54 a.m. on June 30, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect allegedly entered a work site and attempted to steal equipment. When confronted by workers, the suspect produced a large wooden stick and threatened them. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and he was taken into custody. Joseph Brooks, 27, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 2021-06290115, 2100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On June 29, police received a voicemail on the Telephone Reporting Unit line regarding a sexual battery. The victim stated that at approximately 1:00 p.m. on June 29, she was walking in the area when the unknown male suspect, walking in the opposite direction, passed her and hit her in the buttocks with an open hand before leaving the area on foot. The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid to late 20’s, 6’0” – 6’2” tall, 165-170 pounds with black hair, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a black tank top, and dark colored shorts. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2021-06300175, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 11:28 p.m. on June 30, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim returned home to find that his front door was opened. No items were reported damaged or stolen from the residence. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
