REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2021-07010083, 4200 block of 13th Street S. At approximately 11:32 a.m. on July 1, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the known male suspect arrived at the victim’s residence and took a package. When the victim confronted the suspect, he allegedly brandished a knife before fleeing the scene. A short time later, the victim was leaving his residence and entered his parked vehicle when the suspect approached in his vehicle at a high rate of speed, and struck the victim’s vehicle. Arriving officers located the suspect nearby who ignored officer’s commands and entered his residence. A perimeter was established and the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Devante Duarte, 27, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Robbery, Destruction of Property and Attempted Malicious Wounding.

ROBBERY, 2021-06300079, 1900 block of N. Culpeper Street. At approximately 12:22 p.m. on June 30, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim had invited the female suspect to his residence. When she arrived, an unknown male suspect followed behind her. The male suspect brandished a knife and threatened the victim while the female suspect restrained the victim and stole cash, a wallet and electronics. They fled the scene in a dark blue four door sedan. Suspect One is described as a short Black female with a full build, 20 to 30 years old with straight black hair, wearing black tights, and a black spaghetti strap top. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8” tall and heavy set. The investigation is ongoing.
