REPORTS

ROBBERY (late), 2021-09220154, 300 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 4:05 p.m. on September 22, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 12:00 p.m. on September 19, the male suspect entered into the business and began placing merchandise into his bag. The suspect then attempted to leave the business without paying and was confronted by a store employee. A brief struggle ensued, and the suspect struck the employee before fleeing the scene with the stolen merchandise. The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a black and white baseball hat and a red shirt. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2021-09220048, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 7:58 a.m. on September 22, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 7:34 a.m., a store employee observed the two unknown male suspects inside the business. The employee left the business and notified her manager who called dispatch. Arriving officers searched the business and surrounding area with negative results. The investigation revealed that at approximately 7:20 a.m., the two suspects entered into the business and stole jewelry before fleeing the scene on foot upon seeing the store employee. The two suspects are described as tall Black males, approximately 35 to 40 years old. The investigation is ongoing.
