What is going on in our city? People can saw off a catalytic converter in broad daylight in the Fred Meyer parking lot and store security doesn’t do anything about it. Who is investigating the scrap yards, because the catalytic converters have to be sold somewhere? I’ve seen thieves walk out with five or six jackets at Fred Meyer, with buzzers going off, and security sees it and does nothing. No wonder prices are going through the roof. Besides all of the shortages, this crime without any penalty is costing all of us. Why do we pay high taxes to these incompetent city officials who do nothing to stop this lawlessness? Criminals know they will not be punished and are free to repeat their criminal acts. It will continue to get worse unless the current government officials are voted out.
