El Paso police investigators are trying to identify a man wearing a face covering who robbed an auto export business at gunpoint earlier this month.

The unsolved July 6 robbery is Crime Stoppers of El Paso's Crime of the Week.

About 7:30 p.m., a man acting a possible customer entered the Nacionalización y

Fronterización De Autos business at 7945 Alameda Ave. in the Thomas Manor area of the Lower Valley, police said.

The man left but returned a short time later, forced his way inside and threatened a female employee at gunpoint, police said.

The robber stole the woman's purse and rummaged through the business looking for money before leaving in a red, four-door car, possibly a Toyota, Crime Stoppers said.

The man was in his mid-40s with a heavy build and was wearing a light-colored face mask, a black-and-gray baseball cap, a light blue long-sleeved T-shirt, black jeans and black sneakers, Crime Stoppers said.

Anyone with information on the Alameda Avenue armed robber may anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 915-566-8477 (TIPS), or leave a tip online at https://ift.tt/1aa8CfK

If a tip leads to an arrest, tipsters may qualify for a cash reward.
