The Arkansas Department of Health announced that COVID-19 cases in Arkansas increased by 30 on Monday.

The state announced one new death as a result of the virus, bringing the total number of deaths in the state as a result of the pandemic to 5,833.

Hospitalizations went up by 6, bringing the total number of Arkansans hospitalized in the state to 200. There are 38 patients on ventilators, up 4 from the day prior.

There are currently 1,721 cases of COVID-19 considered active in the state, which includes those that have tested positive by both PCR and antigen testing methods. The ADH dashboard currently lists 94 active cases in Washington County and 140 in Benton County.

There were 1,018 PCR tests conducted in the state and 63 antigen tests.

The new cases bring the total cumulative count in Arkansas to 341,381 since the pandemic began.

The state announced that 1,513 additional doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered, bringing the total number of doses given by the state to 1,979,465. The state lists 238,902 as partially immunized, and 903,606 individuals as fully immunized.

All Arkansans 12 and older are currently eligible for a vaccine.
