REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2021-06250214, 3300 block of S. Stafford Street. At approximately 6:11 p.m. on June 25, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery just occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the reporting party who stated that the victim was assaulted and robbed by two male suspects before leaving the scene in his vehicle. An officer located the victim in the area and the investigation determined that the victim was sitting in his parked car when the two male suspects approached his vehicle and opened the doors. The suspects then reached inside, brandished a firearm and grabbed his backpack. The victim exited the vehicle and a struggle ensued over the backpack before the suspects fled the scene on foot. The two suspects are described as Black males in their 20’s, approximately 5’9” to 6’1” tall with dreadlocks. Suspect One was wearing a black shirt and Suspect Two was wearing a gray shirt at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY (LATE), 2021-06250255, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 25, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that the employee was assisting the suspect when he began to give her commands and directed her to open the display cases and place merchandise into his bag. The suspect then ordered the employee into the back of the store until he left the business. The suspect is described as a Black male in his 40’s, approximately 5’10” tall and 175 pounds with a medium build and black hair, wearing a black and orange shirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.

MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING, 2021-06270182, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 6:30 p.m. on June 27, police were dispatched to the report of a destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside his residence when he heard something hit his bedroom window. The victim went to investigate the noise and found a hole in his window. Arriving officers located the window and observed what appeared to be a bullet fragment in between the two window panes. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (LATE), 2021-06250106, 2700 block of 9th Street S. At approximately 9:39 a.m. on June 25, police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 9:00 p.m. on June 24 and 9:00 a.m. on June 25, the unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the occupied residence and stole the victim’s purse and an undisclosed amount of cash. No other items were reported damaged or stolen. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2021-06250238, 2400 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 8:00 p.m. on June 25, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that approximately 30 minutes prior to the arrival of police, the male suspect forced entry into the business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 50 to 60 years old, 5’10” – 6’2” tall, 180 – 200 pounds wearing a gray t-shirt, black pants, black shoes, a black hat, black backpack, gold chain and gold bracelet. The investigation is ongoing.
