REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2021-05290127, 100 block of N. Wayne Street. At approximately 3:24 p.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had exited his parked vehicle when the suspect vehicle, a black Ford Explorer, stopped shortly in front of him and two unknown male suspects exited. The suspects ran towards the victim, brandishing firearms. Suspect One grabbed the victim’s wallet out of his pocket, rummaged through it and threw it back after finding no money inside. The suspects then fled the scene in the suspect vehicle. The two suspects are described as Black males with skinny builds, approximately 23 – 24 years old, 6’3” – 6’4” tall, wearing all black clothing with their hoods up and black masks. The investigation is ongoing.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING (late), 2021-05300082, Columbia Pike and S. Four Mile Run Drive. At approximately 6:55 a.m. on May 30, police were dispatched to Virginia Hospital Center for the late report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 6:00 a.m., the victim was walking in the area of Columbia Pike and S. Four Mile Run Drive when he was approached by the unknown male suspect. A verbal dispute ensued, which escalated to a physical altercation. Following the altercation, the suspect fled the scene on foot, and the victim determined that he had been stabbed in the forearm. The victim was driven to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male, approximately in his mid-20’s. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-05300240, 1200 block of S. Ross Street. At approximately 10:53 p.m. on May 30, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had returned to her residence when she found a window screen laying in front of her front door, and observed that the front window had been opened. Arriving officers conducted a search of the residence with negative results. No other items were reported damaged or stolen. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-05270050, 2100 block of N. Kenilworth Street. At approximately 7:18 a.m. on May 27, police were dispatched to the late report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 3:13 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., the unknown male suspect attempted to force entry into two residences, causing damaged to one of the front doors. No other items were reported damaged or stolen. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 20 – 30 years old with cornrows. The investigation is ongoing.
