For the third day in a row, Larimer County has reported just one new COVID-19 case.
The case reported Friday is in a 40-year-old Loveland man, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 628.
“We hope that is a good sign,” Larimer County Health Department spokeswoman Katie O’Donnell said of the multiday low case increase.
Suspected cases rose by nine Friday to 200. These are people who tested positive via an antibody test, who never had symptoms and no longer are able to spread the virus.
The total number of deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19 decreased from 28 to 27, as one of the deaths that was marked as a probable COVID-19 case was removed by the state Health Department.
O’Donnell said the county was not given any information on why it was removed.
Probable deaths mean that the deceased person had a possible connection to a COVID-19 case, but testing was never completed. Of the county’s 27 deaths, nine are marked probable.
