The Missoula County Attorney’s Office charged 10 new criminal complaints this week. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst said there were three drug cases.

“One involved possession of methamphetamine and two involved possession of meth and heroin, allegedly” Pabst said. “We charged two felony DUIs, which is a fourth or subsequent DUI offense. There were also six crimes that involved some form of violence.”

According to Pabst, four of those cases involved family member victims, two involved non family member victims, and one involved both.

“One man was charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, a partner or family member assault, and a drug case,” Pabst said. “He allegedly threatened his neighbors with a knife. When his wife was going to call law enforcement, he threatened to harm her as well. When he was arrested, there was meth located on his person, allegedly.”

Another man was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

“In that case, a missing and endangered person’s alert was issued after the defendant stated he was going to harm himself and a child,” Pabst said. “When he was arrested, he was also allegedly in the possession of dangerous drugs.”

Finally, another individual was charged with attempted deliberate homicide and tempering with of fabricating physical evidence. The defendant allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife multiple times, ran from the location of the crime, and disposed of the knife.
